Privacy Policy

Overview

PTO Minder is a personal paid-time-off tracker from Brown’s Tech Co. It is designed to help you track and forecast your time-off balances on your device.

PTO Minder does not require a Brown’s Tech Co. account, does not use a Brown’s Tech Co. backend service, and does not sell or share personal information.

PTO Minder may offer an optional iCloud sync feature that keeps your app data up to date across your own Apple devices through Apple’s iCloud. This is multi-device sync of your own data under your Apple ID, not a Brown’s Tech Co. account or a Brown’s Tech Co. cloud service.

PTO Minder’s Home Screen widget and Apple Watch app display the same time-off data stored on your device. They read this data locally through a shared app container and do not collect, transmit, or store any additional information.

Information PTO Minder Stores

PTO Minder stores the time-off information you enter in the app, such as employers, time-off banks and balances, accrual and cap or expiration rules, holidays, work and pay schedules, booked time off, and app settings.

This information is stored locally on your device. Brown’s Tech Co. does not receive, host, or access this app data, except when you choose to send us a diagnostic file for support (see Support Emails below) — that only ever happens if you tap Generate & Share and then choose to send the resulting file yourself.

iCloud Sync

If you turn on iCloud sync (available with the optional Plus upgrade), PTO Minder syncs your app data across devices signed in to the same Apple ID. Syncing uses Apple’s iCloud through a private container tied to your Apple ID.

Brown’s Tech Co. does not receive, host, read, or control your iCloud data. Apple provides the iCloud storage and transfer for this feature, and your use of iCloud is governed by Apple’s terms and privacy practices.

Unlike a one-time backup, iCloud sync keeps your records up to date across your devices while sync is turned on. If you turn sync off, or if your Plus access ends, syncing stops and the data already on each device is left unchanged.

If you turn off iCloud sync or delete PTO Minder’s iCloud data, PTO Minder removes its synced records from your iCloud account. Data stored in iCloud is otherwise managed through your Apple ID and iCloud settings.

In-App Purchases

PTO Minder offers an optional purchase, Plus, to unlock additional features such as iCloud sync. The purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store under your Apple ID. Brown’s Tech Co. does not receive or store your payment information.

To confirm your purchase and keep Plus features unlocked, PTO Minder uses RevenueCat, a purchase-management service. RevenueCat receives a record that the purchase was made and an anonymous identifier used only to validate the purchase and restore it on your devices. It does not receive your name, email address, or any of your time-off data, and this information is not used to track you across other apps or services.

Information PTO Minder Does Not Collect

PTO Minder does not collect or access:

• Account or login information
• Location data
• Contacts
• Calendars
• Photos or media files
• Documents or files other than the app data you choose to sync through iCloud
• App usage analytics or behavioral tracking data
• Crash reports

Notifications

PTO Minder may use local notifications for reminders you configure in the app, such as reminders about accruals or time off that is nearing a cap. These reminders are handled on your device and do not send your time-off data to Brown’s Tech Co.

Support Emails

If you contact Brown’s Tech Co. for support, we may receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message. We use that information only to respond to your request.

If you use the in-app “Report a Data/Math Issue” feature, PTO Minder generates a file with the accrual rules, dates, and balances needed to look into the issue — with your employer name, bank names, plan or trip titles, and any notes you typed removed. This file is only created when you tap Generate & Share, and you choose whether and where to send it.

Data Deletion

Because PTO Minder data is stored locally on your device, you can delete app data by deleting entries inside the app where available or by deleting the app from your device.

If you enabled iCloud sync, you can remove PTO Minder’s synced data from your iCloud account by turning off sync in the app, or by managing the app’s data through Apple’s iCloud settings. Deleting the app alone may not remove data already stored in your iCloud account.

Children's Privacy

PTO Minder is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

Brown’s Tech Co. may update this policy as PTO Minder changes. If future versions add new services or data practices, this policy will be updated before those features are released.
